BIPOC USHR Thriving in Color Retreat on July 12th–13th, 2025

BIPOC USHR will be hosting the second Thriving in Color Retreat on July 12th–13th, 2025.

Thriving in Color started in 2023 as a monthly group to support the healing, education, and prevention of gender-based violence for BIPOC women on PEI. Since then, it’s grown into beautiful programming efforts that include but is not limited to monthly drop in groups, tea parties, a summer series, and retreats that center healing, growth, and connection in ways that feel genuine and grounded.

This upcoming retreat, A Path to New Beginnings, is being offered in collaboration with Women’s Network PEI and BIPOC USHR. It’s a curated space specifically for BIPOC women, gender-diverse, and femme-identifying folks to come together, reflect, and build community.

It’s a completely free 2-day, 1-overnight retreat; With efforts to reduce barriers by providing subsidies, transportation, meals, and overnight accommodations that will meet participants’ needs. The weekend will be filled with thoughtful programming that invites both self-reflection and joy, but always with care and the understanding that each person’s comfort and readiness can look different.
