SUMMARY:Apply for Grants Available to Support Women and Girls
DESCRIPTION:Non-profit organizations across the Island can now apply for funding to implement projects that focus on benefiting women and girls across the province. \nThe Interministerial Women’s Secretariat Grant provides funding to support initiatives that promote the legal\, health\, social and economic equality of women and girls. \n“We are committed to building communities where gender biases are dismantled and women and girls are supported to reach their full potential. Through the Interministerial Women’s Secretariat Grant\, we’re strengthening the overall well‑being of women and girls across the Island\, fostering a culture of inclusivity\, empowerment\, and opportunity. When we uplift women and girls\, our entire province grows stronger together.” – Minister of Social Development and Seniors and Minister responsible for the Status of Women Barb Ramsay \nThe objectives of the grant include: \n\nSupporting Organizations: Provide project funding to organizations delivering direct services and programs for the benefit of women and girls in Prince Edward Island\nRaising Awareness: Support projects that contribute to awareness\, education\, and social action concerning women’s legal\, health\, social\, and economic equality\nBuilding Capacity: Support women’s organizations dedicated to promoting women’s equality through advocacy\, research\, and policy development.\n\nThe deadline to submit applications is 4 p.m. on April 24\, 2026. \nClick here for more information about the grant and application process!

DESCRIPTION:Young at Heart Theatre presents Fascinating Ladies of Country\, a musical revue compiled and created by Brielle Ansems and Catherine O’Brien. Starring Haley Zavo\, Olivia Blacquiere and Stephanie Ross\, this show is a celebration of the artists who put feminism and women’s liberation at the forefront\, and who made significant contributions to gender equality through music and activism. \nFeaturing popular songs like 9 to 5\, DIVORCE\, Delta Dawn and Any Man of Mine\, and with wonderful three-part harmonies and gorgeous arrangements by Brielle\, this will be a signature show for Young at Heart Theatre fans. \nYoung at Heart Theatre is a charity organization dedicated to enriching lives through story and song.
