SUMMARY:‘OPEN DOORS PEI’Project Facilitator & Presenter (Call for Support)
DESCRIPTION:About the Opportunity: \nThe PEI Provincial Immigration Partnership Program (PIP) is seeking confident\, organized\, and engaging Project Facilitator & Presenter(s) to support the successful delivery of the Open Doors PEI project while leading presentations\, workshops\, and stakeholder communications. \nOpen Doors PEI: Hiring for Success is a newcomer-led initiative focused on promoting more inclusive and equitable hiring practices across Prince Edward Island. The project will be anchored in the lived experiences of racially marginalized newcomers and guided by the recent findings of the Immigrant Advisory Table (IAT) and BIPOC BPN Needs Assessment\, with coordination support from the PEI Provincial Immigration Partnership (PIP). \nThis role combines project coordination with strong public speaking and facilitation skills to help the project stay aligned\, with informed and motivated stakeholders. \nFacilitators will report directly to the PIP Project Manager at IRSA. The ideal candidates will also work collaboratively with each other and with the PIP Project Coordinator\, external DEI consultant(s)\, the Immigrant Advisory Table\, and several IRSA staff. \nThe ideal candidates are excellent communicators who can manage project activities\, facilitate meetings\, and present information clearly to community stakeholders. \nKey Responsibilities \n 1. Content Development \n\nContribute lived experience and professional expertise to the development of inclusive hiring toolkits\, presentation materials\, and employer-facing resources\nSupport the creation of campaign messaging that reflects PEI’s employment landscape and the realities of newcomer job seekers\nCollaborate with DEI consultants\, the Immigrant Advisory Table and PIP staff to ensure materials are relevant\, accessible\, and solution-focused\nDeliver mock presentations to staff and advisors listed above to fine-tune presentations.\n\n2. Project Coordination & Logistics \n\nCoordinate and support day-to-day project activities and timelines\nPrepare presentation materials\, reports\, agendas\, and project documentation\nMonitor project progress and assist with task tracking and follow-ups\nSupport workshop planning and project-related logistics when required\nMaintain accurate records and provide regular project updates\n\n 3. Workshop Delivery & Employer Engagement\n \n\nCo-facilitate 5–6 free employer workshops across PEI (minimum of 3 in-person\, the remainder virtual) targeting HR professionals\, small business owners\, and nonprofit employers (Jan-Feb 2027)\nDeliver interactive presentations that address unconscious bias\, systemic barriers\, credential recognition\, and inclusive hiring strategies\nFoster respectful dialogue and practical learning environments that encourage employer reflection and action\n\n 4. Digital Outreach & Knowledge Sharing \n\nContribute ideas\, content\, and insights for social media and email campaigns\, including inclusive hiring tips and success stories\nParticipate in follow-up engagement with employers\, including responding to questions and sharing additional resources\n\n 5.
