Farmers Helping Farmers Seeking Part-Time Finance Officer
Farmers Helping Farmers (FHF) is seeking a part-time Finance Officer beginning April 2024 to
support the implementation of a Gender Responsive One Health project (GROH) under
agreement with Alinea International and funded by Global Affairs Canada. The Finance Officer
will report to the FHF GROH Project Manager and work in cooperation with Kenyan staff.
The successful applicant requires training in accounting either at the degree or college level.
Experience with Excel software is required.
This is a 4-year project, and the successful applicant will work 5 days per month from home
using his/her own computer, printer and scanner and must have good access to Wi-Fi
Duties include:
- Implement budgetary procedures and financial controls to enable FHF to ensure sound
management of the project and using methods approved by Alinea - Handle fund requests, transfers and accounting
- Prepare and submit List of Materials for Approval (LMFA) quarterly for project funds
- Verify receipts to support funds expended
- Maintain financial records for Kenya portion of GROH project
- Establish and maintain a secure and organized system of holding original receipts
