Global Citizenship Youth Conference
The Global Citizenship Youth Conference is a space for youth (aged 15-17) to discuss, learn about and take action on global issues.
Hosted by the Atlantic Council for International Cooperation, participants spent three days (July 11-14, 2024) at the Tatamagouche Centre in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia.
Through interactive activities, discussions, games, reflection, and more, the conference will explore topics such as peace and conflict, human rights, Indigenous realities, the Sustainable Development Goals, refugee experiences, poverty and food sovereignty, gender equity, environment, anti-racism, 2SLGBTQSIA+ realities, and much more.
The only requirements for applicants are to be age 15-17, to be an Atlantic Canadian resident, and to be interested in global citizenship, international development, human rights, or any similar area.
Seats are limited, but applications are free, the program is free, and successful applicants will have food, accommodations, and travel covered.
