Join our Community Engagement team as an EAL Tutor Program Coordinator!
Location: Charlottetown, PE
Full-Time Term Position through August 31, 2026 (Maternity Leave Cover)
Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)
Salary: $23.14 per hour
Deadline to apply: June 15, 2025
Responsibilities:
– Recruit, train & support volunteer English tutors
– Match tutors with newcomer learners & oversee individualized learning plans
– Monitor program outcomes & maintain detailed records
– Support community programming & annual IRSA events
– Build partnerships to expand EAL supports across PEI
What You Bring:
– Post-secondary education in Human Services, Education, or a related field + 1 year of experience
– Strong communication, case management & cross-cultural skills
– Program delivery & volunteer coordination experience an asset
– Tech-savvy with MS Office, Google apps, and CMS systems
– Multilingualism, public speaking, and project management skills are a plus
– Evening/weekend work & travel across PEI required
– Access to reliable transportation is an asset
