Spinal Cord Injury PEI Offers Variety of Programs
Our mission at Spinal Cord Injury PEI is to assist people with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities to help them achieve independence and self-reliance, and to promote full community awareness and participation. Here are the programs we offer:
Programs:
Senior’s Navigator: Offers one-on-one support for individuals 55+, helping them plan, resolve unmet needs, and set goals. Facilitates access to services, monitors progress, and collaborates with the individual’s support network to improve health and quality of life.
Breathing Exercise: Specialized breathing exercise program in collaboration with Cerebral Palsy Association. This is a 6-week pilot starting June 5, 2024 and will be over zoom.
Seated Fitness: The class will resume in the fall. We are accepting registrations for classes in Summerside, Charlottetown, Montague, and Tyne Valley.
Peer Support: Provides guidance and support to spinal cord-injured individuals and their families during rehabilitation. Mentors offer encouragement to help them overcome challenges.
