STEAM PEI Rover Driving Academy

Calling All Aspiring Space Explorers in Grades 6-9! Join the Rover Driving Academy!

Are you ready for an out-of-this-world experience? Mission Control’s Rover Driving Academy is here to take you on an unforgettable journey! This free workshop is designed for young space enthusiasts in Grades 6-9, combining education, teamwork, and the thrill of planetary exploration.

Imagine being part of a lunar research team, operating a real rover on a simulated lunar surface, investigating areas of interest, and identifying lunar features.

At the Rover Driving Academy, you’ll work in teams of five, each taking on a critical role: driver, camera operator, scientist, navigator, and terrain safety analyst. Together, you’ll navigate rocky terrains, analyze geological formations, and make real-time decisions like NASA engineers.

This immersive adventure emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and innovative thinking. Throughout the challenge, you’ll plan missions, strategize rover paths, and tackle unforeseen obstacles, all while communicating and collaborating with teammates. This hands-on experience builds essential skills in communication, leadership, and critical thinking.

The Rover Driving Academy is a gateway to the wonders of space, sparking curiosity and inspiring future scientists and engineers. Sign up today and embark on a thrilling journey across lunar landscapes. This is your chance to be part of something truly special – a mission to the moon!
