Policy Shapes Our Sector
Decisions at every level of government, from legislation, to funding rules, to tax changes, shape the environment in which PEI's nonprofit and community organisations operate. CSNPEI is here to help Island charities, NGOs, and other groups stay on top of these shifts by monitoring the broader policy landscape on behalf of the sector. Our team is tracking regulation changes, and government decisions that affect day to day operations, while bringing sector knowledge and member perspectives into these conversations.
Research Helps Us Succeed
Research at the local, regional, and national level matters to the community sector on PEI. Local data captures the specific realities of small communities, rural areas, and unique population dynamics that provincial or national numbers can miss. Regional and national research gives PEI's community organizations a broader context, letting them compare outcomes, identify trends, and learn from approaches tried elsewhere in Atlantic Canada, or across the country. Together, these layers of research strengthen funding proposals, guide program design, and support evidence-based work.
